Freedom III is a fabulous vessel but, like many boats, walkways are narrow and toilets are accessed via steps. Therefore, we are unable to accept bookings for guests who need to use a wheelchair or walking frame onboard. Space for pushchairs and prams is severely limited. We can accommodate this on private charters but we do not have room for them during the whale watching season.
It is a requirement for the health and safety of all passengers, that all passengers have sufficient unassisted mobility to manage 5 steps with a handrail.
Please see images below with explanations beneath for more information. You are welcome to call Andrea on 0448 773 668 to discuss your needs. Andrea will give honest advice and recommendations to ensure you have a good experience with us if possible.
The main viewing area is accessed via narrow walkways either side of the boat. These are not wide enough for wheelchairs, walking frames, prams or pushchairs.
The easiest access toilet can be reached via 5 wide steps from the lower deck to the upper deck seen in the centre of this picture
